Assign multiple tags to your thoughts. Tags can be nested so that you can not only distinguish for example work and personal thoughts but further divide these into home, journals, gifts etc etc.

Tags can be nested in a tree structure so that you can not only distinguish for example work and personal thoughts but further divide these into home, journals, restaurants etc etc. The overall name of a tag category represents the “tree tag” and additional tags underneath it are termed “leaf tags”.

So in the example above you may have a work tree and personal tree. The personal tree can then have leaf nodes for home, journal and restaurant. You can then tag a jott with a restaurant so that this jot will appear in a search for either the restaurant tag or the personal tag.

This gives you a powerful way of finding related tags and to narrow down to specific topics.
